SOLD PF......ADDED 10/30/09......S&W factory target stocks. New old stock that the shop I found them in had taken out of the wrapper to show me (not at my request, but before I could stop it). They have a couple minor indentations they received through the plastic wrapper, but are otherwise like new. They have the silver washer and aren't quite as red as the pictures make them appear. $65 ppd.
1.
SOLD PF.......N-frame diamond PC Magnas. SN 312815. Very good condition with some wear from use. Came to me on an N-frame in which they didn't belong and I don't have a Model 58 that needs them. Then again, as soon as these sell, I'll find that Model 58!
$165 shipped in Lower 48.
2.
SOLD PF......REDUCED TO $205 SHIPPED....K-frame Ropers - the real thing. Left handed. Excellent condition. These once belonged to noted Colt New Service collector Bill Powell. I bought them from a mutual friend. Bill labeled most of his grips and these are no exception. He wrote "K Target LH" on the inside of th right panel. $215 shipped in the Lower 48.
3.
SOLD PF.......K-frame Sandersons. Right handed. Excellent condition with crisp checkering and very nicely figured walnut. I believe these are later production Sandersons, as the checkering quality isn't as nice as some of his sets I've had and they lack the round jig hole you usually see on Sandersons, but I have no doubt these are the real deal. $190 shipped in the Lower 48.
The grips aren't perfectly aligned in this picture, but they do align when on a gun:
4.
REDUCED TO $305 SHIPPED....S&W factory Pre-War grip adapter. K-frame. I got this from the toolbox of the late gunmaker Bill Grover when I bought the inventory from his shop. Unfortunately, like everything else in that shop, it had been left in his shop without climate control, so there is freckling across much of the surface. However, there is a substantial amount of original blue left. The rubber finger pad has surface cracking, but is still solid and intact. $365 shipped in the Lower 48.
5.
SOLD PF......Older, high quality target stocks for a S&W N-frame. I believe they are older Herrett's. They feel very nice in the hand, with a pleasing palm swell on the right. $95 shipped in the Lower 48
6.
REDUCED TO $50 SHIPPED EACH....S&W factory M39/59 fully adjustable rear sight assembly. Have two. Both are new in the original wrap. These came from Grover's workshop as well and there is a bit of light surface rust on them that should clean off with oiled 0000 steel wool. I guess the plastic seals on these are perfectly airtight. $60 shipped apiece.
7.
REDUCED TO $50 SHIPPED....S&W factory rear sight for Model 25-5. New in factory packaging. This also came from Grover's shop and, like the others, have some light surface rust under the wrapping. $60 ppd.
8.
SOLD PF.......S&W factory rear sight. Packaging says it is for the 8 3/8" Model 29, but the sight is checkered like it is for a Model 27. I don't know if the packaging is wrong or it is just a Model 29 rear sight that is checkered. Again, from Bill Grover's shop with a bit of light surface rust underneath the packagine. $60 ppd.
