This is a tool of my own design and manufacture. It isn't a copy of anything I am aware of. It was sort of "born" on this forum and owes some of the design features to member feedback. Anyway, it is a heavy duty pusher that will remove some really tight sights such as S&W and Kimber. It will work on just about any pistol whose slide will fit in the window. It was originally designed for gen3 S&W's, but works equally well on most any 1911's, Sigmas, Sigs, Rugers, HK.s etc. Obviously, slides with safety levers have to have the levers removed. This is very easy on S&W's. Due to the small dovetail, it is not recommended for Springfield XD's. See the new Mk lll for XD use.
Note: Some adjustable sights such as Bomar style have hidden set screws. The elevation screw also acts as a set screw. Be sure to remove set screws before attempting to move the sight.
Included in the package is the tool, with aluminum liner/spacer, a steel pusher screw with the end ground flat to resist marring of the sight. a smaller pusher screw for front sights, and a brass tipped steel screw. These brass tipped screws are pricey, but are almost as strong as the other steel screw and are easier on the sight finish.
Cost to forum members for the basic tool is $60, which includes shipping to the US. PayPal is accepted, but I ask that you add $3 to offset the charges my bank demands to convert payments to cash. I eat the paypal fee, but the two together are a little to much.
For obvious reasons, I don't accept returns, but I will cheerfully repair or replace defective units.
