Hahahaha! That is great! Overlooking my ammo stash.. Federal and Fiocchi make up 50% of it. Both are my go to and use each as equal substitutes. Geco, PPU, PMC, CCI/Blazer Brass & Aluminum, Gold Dot, Golden Sabre.. all are very good American and European ammo. IMI is very nice Israeli ammo.
OP, Fiocchi is full powered ammo, loaded to the higher end of the spec for it's respective caliber and not a hair less. That said, I've shot 10's of thousands of it in 9mm, .40cal, .44Special, .44Magnum, and .45ACP over the last 20+ years. It's just darn good ammo that burns clean & accurate and which is why I like it so much. And the M&P45 is a soft shooting .45 as well as their M&P40.
I'm thinking you were just having an off day. It happens to all of us! I'm 41 years old now and when large low pressure storm fronts come sometimes stuff just hurts more. I'm betting the next time you get out there you and your pistols will be just fine/happy with your Fiocchi ammo. Good luck and keep shootin'!
