This one poster got quite a few responses to his post about a steel framed M36 and the use of +P .38's. Does the airweight model 37 1968 manufacture with the alloy frame have the same capabilities as the steel framed 36.
The rounds I have are 125 grain WWB jhp's and say personal protection.
According to the box that personal protection designation indicates reduced recoil. Think they'd be alright in a 37 airweight? I have a bunch of them and hate to let them set around. I only shoot .357's in my .357's.
I finally got around to shooting it today and I used Magtech 158 grain standard pressure .38 LRN's and it hits nicely at 30 ft.
Here is a pic of my first five shots. the one in the center was SA and the other 4 were DA as quickly as I could get a good follow up sight picture.
The gun is rough but tight and in great condition except for appearence.
thanks for your input
