HOLY WOW...

I bet no one argued over the use of goodyears for that test. What kind of hearing protection did they use? Deaf people for shooters? Did the resulting flame cutting convert the two guns into top break models once the test was complete???

I joke. That is some serious looking stuff. I'm curious what powder and primer combo they use to achieve that from six or even four inch tubes. Should be fast burning, but don't fast burning powders have a bad pressure spike with only slight increases in amount added? Must be some exotic stuff.

I have two boxes of 158 grn 357 Doubletap with the Nosler SJHP bullet...I haven't fired any of them yet.but I would love to test a few of them

My thinking would be--- thru the bad guy ??? thru Grandma ??? the wall and Grandkid seem like alot of over kill!!!!!!!!!!!

Your chronograph results are VERY close to the advertised muzzle velocity for the 4" barrel. Truth in advertising at it's finest!

Thanks for posting your test results.

I have not tried that .357 Magnum load but I have bought and used their 125gr .38 Special +P ammo and I like it a lot. That was when the only offering they had used a Speer GD bullet. They now also load Winchester, Barnes and Hard Cast bullets. I haven't tried any of those yet.

I have the same box of Double-Tap 357, but I am a bit worried shooting it in my 4" K frame 13-1.

If you love your K frame then you won't do that to it. Feed it Golden Sabers or buy an L frame for your DT.

IMHO, of course.

Yeah, I know. I'm well aware of the potential issue with my K-frame. I have a few boxes of 357 125gr, including that box of Double Tap. Gotta find someone to buy them.
