What is this ammo?

Hey folks,

I'm just now betting back in to .38s and I discovered a couple of 20 rd. boxes of ammo I've had squirreled away for probably 12 years or so. They are Winchester SXT .38 Spl. +P 130 grain SXT S38SP. They are metal cased with what appears to be copper clad JHP bullets with kind of a saw-tooth looking nose.

Would these be considered to still be a good PD round?

How would they compare with good ol' Silvertips?

A good load, rated highly in an article in G&A awhile back. Silvertips vary with caliber. In .38 Spcl., I'd chose the SXT.

They are what used to be known as the "Black Talon" bullet, until the anti's got a hold of it and then Winchester was forced to discontinue said "Black Talon". Inside joke is that the SXT stands for "Same eXact Thing" just minus the black lubalox coating. Excellent choice for a PD load.
