Default wheelie08

hi fellows i live in australia i just converted my 1911 to 38/45 because of our laws it was easer that doing steel shots at 200meters to me it was awaste of time
i came across some speer cases with a small primmer pocket they would be great for warm loads as the primmer does not flow back around the firing pin but nobody sells them here is there any place in the usa that sells just the speer cases
starline make a 400corbon which would be ideal but they are waiting for orders but no dealer in oz would stock any of these cases
thanks for your time wheelie

What exactly does the law say? Must your brass be explicitly stamped ".38-45" and NOT .45 ACP, or is it OK to have .45 ACP headstamped brass that is actually a different cartridge? Confusing, isn't it? Small primer .45 ACP brass is all too common (and annoying) around here but as far as I know you have to buy it in loaded ammo. I see it headstamped Federal, Speer and W-W.

hi mate we have to belong to a pistol club before we can buy them .22 is cat d .38/9mm cat b .45 cat c
cat c can only be shot at 100 meters or more to shoot a 45 at that range you have got to aim well above the target it is not worth doing it but i make it a cat b i can shoot it from 7 meters out to about 50 meters
the only 45 brass our importers bring in are large primmers i have asked them to chase up some of the small ones but itis always put in the to hard basket they are just to lazy
the small primmers ones are better for warmer loads
i lose a few when i form them down because they crunch up and in fire forming
i would like to get about 2000 i see what i chase up
