Fiocchi Ammo??
Just curious, but has anyone used or have any thoughts about Fiocchi .357 ammo?? I see it on Ammo to go for $18/box of 50, but I've never heard anything about it. I'd just be using it for target rounds.

Fiocchi is excellent quality. They used to make the S&W brand ammo.

Fiocchi .380 JHP cycles through my S&W 380BG without any issues. The same with Fiocchi .40 S&W JHP through my M&Ps. And you can often find it at a decent price to practice with, and carry as a defensive round.

I've used quite a bit of the 'Extrema' ammunition in .357. It seems accurate and fairly clean-burning. It also feeds well in my Marlin 1894. I wouldn't hesitate to use it for anything I might use any other 158 grain HP .357 for. As a matter of fact, I carry it in my Model 13 pretty regularly.
I've never seen any chronograph information for the .357, so I don't know if they're hitting their advertized velocities. If anyone has done their own, or seen any information, I'd be interested.

I've shot Fiocchi .38 Special, .357 Magnum, .45 Auto, .380 Auto and .32 Auto ammo and all was high quality. Their 32 Auto SJHP 60gr ammo is rated @1100 fps and that's what I carry in my Kel-Tec P-32 when I do carry that pistol. (not the 60gr XTP bullet, the other 60gr SJHP they sell)

I've shot THOUSANDS of rounds of FiocchiŽ 38 Special and 357 Magnum ammunition; it's great stuff. I use the their 357 HPXTP as a carry load, very accurate & low recoil.

Much of it is made right here in the Midwest. Never a problem with any I've used.

I recently purchased and fired three boxes of Fiocchi 38 Super out of my Colt 1911 and it was well made, worked great, and I had no FTF's. That said, I did notice that it seemed to be a bit hotter than the Remington +P 38 Super I also had on hand. The Fiocchi was the standard loading not the +P, and yet it was more robust. I did not chronograph them at the time so I don't know the actual velocities, I was just going by recoil and kickback. I would buy it again and I will chronograph it next time. Could also be the Remington ammo was loaded wimpy - just saying.
I also have a bunch of 38 special, 357 magnum and shot shells that are marked S&W in the blue & white boxes which were made by Fiocchi in the 70's. While the ammo does work OK, I have found that most of the bullets have oxidized quite badly. This ammo was stored in the same place and environment as all my other stuff that has had NO issues. My ammo closet is dry, heated and air conditioned so there is no humidity or heat build up. Granted, that ammo was made 40 + years ago so I guess they have improved it by now.

I haven't shot any Fiocchi .357 ammo, but I have used their .32 Long, .38 Special and .40 S&W. The ammo that I do have experience with is reliable stuff and accurate from the guns I have fired it through. I can't imagine the .357 loads would be any different.
Go ahead and try a couple of boxes; see how your gun likes it.

Over the last year or two I've shot a 1,000 or so rounds of the Fiocchi .357 Magnum ammo and it's worked just fine for me.
