Walmart Federal .22 price hike

Of all the .22 ammo for sale in my area, the Federal Auto match has appeared in stores like Walmart most consistently this year. The price was $14.27 per 325 rd box. This week, the price jumped to nearly $20. Has anyone else noticed this?

Also, not one box of the Federal 550 bulk has appeared at any area Walmart all year. This used to be a staple at all of the stores. Anyone else seeing the Federal 550 bulk?

The Auto match is not jacketed like the 550 bulk, but now these are priced as high as the old bulk was for a lot less rounds.

The ammo might be plated or "washed", but it isn't jacketed like .22 mag.

I have not seen a box of .22 anything in a Walmart since before Thanksgiving. Be grateful you have.

.22 LR

There isn't even ANY .22LR available here in Skagit County, WA. I have a pretty good supply, but am always willing to pick-up some fresh stuff! I haven't seen any in at least six months.

To answer your question, yes its the same here. Automatch shows up every week or so but no bricks of 550 since late last year

I have not seen any Fed bulk at any WM's here in WVA all year. I have a backorder for 5 boxes of 550 bulk Federal at Midsouth Shooters since Jan also. They must not be selling them. I find it hard to believe that Midsouth has not had a Federal rimfire ammo delivery this year! I would be very upset at my supplier if I were them. I have seen pics of Fed bulk ammo in cans also. I was able to get some 325 bulk Federal in Feb from Cabela's.

Yes the Auto Match has been consistently showing up in DFW. But have not seen any of them for last 2 weeks. Will have to check the price when they show up again.
Have not seen any Fed 550 this year.

Got into subsonic 22long 29gr CB for quiet rifle shooting and CCI was selling in the $8-9 per 100 box range. GB just sold a 1000rd lot for $20 a box!
