Good to see it making its way back up to KY. My wal-mart seems to stay fairly fresh on the popular cailbers. Of course they do sell out eventually, but they are restocked within the next day. My last haul was some CCI mini-mags. Those seem to be the hardest to find at the at the moment.

I was in my local Walmart today. I asked the sporting goods manager when they would get some 22LR. He said he orders it once a week and they get anywhere from half a case to a whole case every month to six weeks. I guess maybe these stores getting it by the pallet load, are why our stores are lucky to get the occasional case. Same story for stores in the surrounding towns. The LGS, same problem, he orders it from his supplier and gets at most half of what he orders.

Walmart ships product based on demand. That's true of everything they sell. If a store has a history of selling a lot of ammunition, they are allocated more than a store that sells less.

Not at Walmart last time I checked. However, a LGS I've started going to has had a fair amount coming in. Their prices are a bit more than WM, but the difference is that they actually have it.

Glad to hear.......I hope it gets better Nationwide & soon. I shoot Bench-Rest. Ammo has always been pricy in the game. But its sad around here, lots of lost family shooting times. Regards Ernie

I don't buy high ammunition for the range. Not low end ammo, but decent target fodder.
The most expensive in relative terms is my 22 LR. I have a Model 18 that doesn't like lead ammo, so I always feed it plated ammo. I'll use higher end lead 22 in my Walther P22, but the 18 and the 34 get the higher end ammo.
My Ruger 10/22 isn't very fussy at all.

I am now on as trip from Michigan to St. Louis Mo to Paducah KY. I have been to Wal Mart and Cabala's The Wal Mart had no 22lr, only 38 cal. Cabalas, had no 22lr but plenty of 223, and pistol ammo. I am headed to Bardstown KY then to Canton NC, before heading home. I will be looking for 22lr.

theres a place called "Whittakers" that maybe close to Paduca.....Its a place to behold if its close to your travel. You could spend a week there and not see it all. I think its the largest Gunstore in KY and surrouding area...........worth the trip for sure Regards Ernie

If that's true the St Cloud store would get 20 pallets a week. Joe
