LOW COST PLINKING AMMO FOR S&W 460XVR
I have a 460xvr and was wondering if anyone knows of a company that manufactures 'good' and hopefully 'clean' target ammunition for the 460 that is reasonably cheap? Thanks.

I thought you could shoot 45 colt out of it, you should be able to find affordable 45 colt ammo. 460, not a chance!!

Nope... At least for my version of "reasonably cheap."
I have a 500 S&W and pretty much the same goes for the 460. At least you have the option of 45 Colt but even that is not cheap anymore.

You can find 50 round packs of 45 Colt online for $30. I have been seeing the Hornady 460 SW for $30 per 20 rounds. Thats is fair in my book, considering the amount of brass and powder required to make a 460 round. 454 Casull is about the same price as 460, but like others said, reloading is the way to go. I actually just ordered the PC 14 onch hunter and plan on reloading 45 colt, 454 casull for cost. I plan on using 460 From Hornady to maintain zero on the scope.
If you dont want to reload, you gotta pay to play. 460 ammo has never been cheap.

Just the other day I was offered a trade for a 500 S&W. 4 inch with no ammo!
I passed.
