I remember the Blue-boxed S&W ammo from the early and mid 70s. If I'm correct, I believe it was made by Fiocchi, the 'F' on the headstamp. I shot up quite a bit of this ammo in .38 and .357. As I recall, the .38s were hot loads, loaded with what seemed to be a heavy charge of a slower-burning powder, charges that performed better in longer bbls, say 6" and up. After firing in 4" bbls, I would find many unburned powder granules in the casing. The bullets were SJHPs with a VERY small HP in all weights, can't imagine how they would ever expand.
Factory tables showed, if I recall, 1150ish fps for the 110 .38 Spl (maybe for 6"?), but I've never seen any actual chrono readings. Shoot it up in your 19, but if you have a 6", you'll get much less flash and more velocity. Hope this helps, it's only been 40 years. (Shouldn't talk like that!).
Stay safe, partner.
