I'll be interested to see if anyone can report real-life testing. Personally I think Barnum was right.
There was another thread on this a while back. As I recall, most posters weren't impressed with the idea.

Looks like a mechanical bolo.
What I tire of is every video has folks who have to yak loudly, gesticulate with hands and arms and try to look like a Sunday NFL pregame show.
I think Joe Friday nailed it, "just the facts Ma'am, just the facts".

I don't think it would penatrate enough to be effective. I will stick with good self defense ammo and enough practice to hit my target.

Wait till the first time one of those connectors breaks loose and that round goes 45 degrees sideways and nails an innocent bystander. Who cares if BATF "approved" it? That doesn't mean it is actually worth a diddly-damn.

It's too complex
There is too much room for things to go wrong. Simple and sure is a better way. It's a neat idea but I would have to test them at least as much as a regular load and they sure ain't cheap. I would also like to see ballistic testing to determine performance and how it may drop off with distance when actually penetrating an semi-solid object. How about some pig carcass tests?
Update: Another thing. How will having a wire tether attached to each fragment affect penetration?

Looks good on a paper target. I'd like to see a ballistics gel test.

I'm not buying all this better stuff. Maybe if you are a poor shot but it looks a bit like just another gimmick to me. Lets see the Gelatin test..............

Someone wasted a lot of time and money on that one.
I am sure it will do some damage to paper targets though.

This is pretty much what I wrote in another thread about this stuff.
Since then, I now wonder...
* How much would the 'Core' itself penetrate?
If not much, what good does it do to go for a sternum shot if only the 3 peripheral pieces penetrate???
* How much will the tethers dig in? (as already asked)
* How about the Head Shot???
I aim for the nose and (theoretically) only the 'Core' and tethers make contact? No Thanks.
Ballistics Gel, or Pig Carcass Please!!
