Perfecta ammo at Walmart

Perfecta 40 s&w feed issues in M&P 40 VTAC

I bought 6 boxes of the Perfecta 40 to break in my M&P 40 VTAC today and I shot 2 boxes, 100 rounds with lots off failure to feed issues. I averaged 5 ftf's out of 10 rounds sometimes more and I couldn't hit the 30 yard steel plates consistenty at all. To see if it was an ammo or gun issue I bought some blazer steel cased ammo and the gun ran all 50 rounds flawlessly. Not only did it run flawless I was able to hit the metal plates very consistently. Almost on every shot I was able to connect with the Blazer 40. I also noticed that the Perfecta ammo was very underpowered as well. If anyone is interested I will sell my 4 boxes, 200 rounds for $65 shipped.

Perfecta doesnt shoot well in my M&P .40

I fell for the cheap price and bought 4 boxes of "perfecta" .40 and it feed well when shooting the .40 shield. i loaded up a few mags for my M&P full size and it had alot of fail to feeds, jams, failed to ejects, and was inaccurate. I found that to be odd so i loaded my XDM full size and it had the same problems. I was hoping my older sigma .40 would prove the other 2 pistols were just picky. The exact same problems with the 3rd .40! I usually dont shot off brand ammo and now i remember why i will probably measure OAL and get a grain count or weight when i have time. switched back to federal/winchester the same day and had none of these issues. The Shield still performed well with the perfecta .40 for some reason? just pay the extra money and stay away from cheap ammo!

OAL seems to be a problem. I was given a box of 9mm Fiocci with XTP hp's. The bullets were seated at many different depths and had problems chambering. On the upside it was full power. Joe

I ran the .40Cal Fiocci XTP and had a lot of miss feeds as well. Ran Federal, Win, Independant, & PMC and no failures. I believe the OAL seems to be the issue according to others as well.

When I had a look at the Perfecta .40 Cal, the OAL seemed a bit high, just like like the Fiocci. SO I think I'm staying away. Though I may give it a try one day....

Bought some of this for my MP10 .308 would not feed every round jammed had a couple stack on one another. Not a good round for the MP10 the rest went in the trash.Just a heads up guys.

I bought 2 50 round boxes of the Perfecta ammo in .380. In my little KelTec P3AT it would fail to extract. I've never had this problem before. After examining the ammo I found that the rim is not cut square, it has a chamfer or an angle on the outside. I could not run an entire magazine without a problem.
I switched to some Tula and it ran perfectly, like it always does. My buddy has one of the Colt Mustang XSP's. I'll give him the rest of the ammo and we'll see if it will run in the little Colt.

I bought four boxes of 9mm. They are super low powered. The shells barely make it out of my glock and sometimes don't on my SIG 226. In fact the slide won't lock back on the last round on the SIG. Happens everytime.

I've only had a couple more boxes since my first post on this thread and didn't have any problems with it through my 9mm Shield or Beretta 92. I do agree they are pretty weak loads, though. I haven't bought any more of it because it is cheaper to buy the 100 round packs of WWB.

I have a Steyr L9 and it is fussy.
I found TulAmmo 9mm BrassMaxx out of Wally World 50 round boxes that say made in Italy. I bought the last 5 in the case that day, haven't seen them again. What I do see is the 100 round cardboard "can" and I get those. They work fine, actually seem a little hot. The round BrassMaxx cans say made in Bosnia Herzegovina.

I suspect the Perfecta being put out by TulAmmo and made in Italy is the continuation of some Italian BrassMaxx deal. I saw somewhere it was felt Fiocchi was producing BrassMaxx for TulAmmo. Stands to reason perhaps TulAmmo wanted to preserve BrassMaxx for themselves and so now we have Perfecta made in Italy for TulAmmo.

Sadly Perfecta wasn't hot enough. Even more disappointing a blue box of Fiocchi was worse than the Perfecta.

Have also tried the ZQ 9mm "nato" branded as well.

All three brands and their respective partially full boxes are in the back corner of the ammo locker.

Got one box (50) of "Perfecta 9mm Luger 115 Grain FMJ Brass Case Non-Corrosive Boxer Primer" on my way to the range yesterday. I had never used it before. The bullets looked oddly shaped, longer than normal with a peculiar color cast to them.

My Glock G34 Gen 4 will run with anything, but this Perfecta ammo completely failed to chamber about ten or twelve times with the first three Glock 17rd magazines I loaded up with the stuff. Rounds got stuck as they started up the ramp, wouldn't even enter the chamber. Never had this happen with that pistol.

I had three other boxes of 115 Gr. FMJ ammo (not Perfecta) with me. I immediately loaded up the same three 17rd magazines and the gun ran perfectly, as did all the rest of the ammo I fired. I will not be buying any more Perfecta in the future.

bought a box of 50 at walmart. shot it in my 40 s&w, failed to cycle every time. this has got to be the worst ammo, i thought Tula was bad but this takes the cake.

I understand that the problem with Russian Ammo is the coating They use,After a while it gums up the Chamber causing loading problems.

Perfecta ammo

Per-junkta ammo should be its name. I shoot a Ruger SR40C and just took 100 rounds of this stuff to the range this morning. I read a little further down where someone had a ftf error and that's what I had. It actually fed through like it was a spent round and jammed in the slide. Didn't take long to clear it but it's the first ammo I have EVER had that gave me any failures at all. I will tell you that PMC 165 gr FMJ that I bought online from AmmoToGo was the best range ammo that I have used since I started shooting the SR. Well worth the wait to buy it online!

I have shot Perfecta in 9m and 380 with no problems at all. It seems to be a little dirty compared to some others but I clean my guns after each range trip anyway.

Perfecta .45 and 9mm from Walmart

Hi, new to the forum, great information. I have not had a single issue with Perfecta .45 in my Glock 21, HK USC or my Beretta CX4 Storm. I've had the same experience with Perfecta 9mm in my Glock 17 and 19, Beretta CX4 Storm (9mm version) plus my very picky Cobray. Occasionally the .45 load appears a little weak in the HK (very consistent feel, different ammo is noticeable). You can not beat the price and honestly I'm not sure why others are having problems but I've seen this with expensive ammo (even match stuff). Off topic, but if you get a chance, try a CX4 Storm, very cool rifle (compact) this is why I acquired 9mm and the .45 version. Thank you all for this great forum and member input (enjoy reading comments).

Walmart has a sale price Perfecta for $6.94 a box of 50 for all handgun calibers, all my local walmarts are completely sold out and I was bummed I missed the deal until I read all these negative comments about the brand. It seems they are under powered and have hard primers.

If I get any type of failure while running my handguns I then have to shoot at least 100 rounds without issue before carrying the gun. So for me shooting lower quality stuff can actually get more expensive in the end.

Usually American Eagle is only one or two more dollars per box than the lower quality stuff like WWB or Fed Champion and IMO when purchasing 2-5 boxes of American Eagle at one time it is not worth saving $2-$10 overall.

Perfecta

I just shot a box of the Perfecta through my Beretta 96 and didn't have a single problem. Seems like a score to me.

I haven't shot their ammo but I have loaded a lot of their brass in 9mm and 45acp. Good brass and no problems at all.

Local WM had sale, $8.94. I got 6 50rd boxes of 223 and 5 50rd boxes of 40. Will try at some point. But at this sale price it will be worth it. At this price, it is cheaper than 22LR lately!!!!!

I think them are 30 round boxes of .223, not 50 ????

I had a round container of Tulammo 9mm that was to weak to work my Shield and kept jamming. Gave away the balance of the box. Only ammo that I ever had a problem shooting from the Shield including my loads.

Never used it in a Shield (I don't have one), but Tulammo 9mm seems to work OK for me in other 9mms.

I just bought a box of 9mm Perfecta today at Walmart for 10.97. Hoping it's good target ammo.

Perfecta 9mm & .40 S&W

I have been shooting the Perfecta 9mm and .40 S&W through my SD9VE and the .40 through my Taurus 24/7 G2 .40 S&W with no issues what so ever. Perfecta has been some good target ammo for me and my guns. I will continue to buy it!

I bought 4 boxes of 9MM 115 grain at the local Walmart for $10.99 and thought it was a good deal. Wrong!! Stay away from this ammo. It is scary to shoot this. The amount of fire that comes blazing out of your muzzle will scare the **** out of you. It was not enjoyable at all. I shot one box and put the rest away. I wish I could sell it to someone!!
Guess I'm stuck with the three remaining boxes. Stay away from this thing unless you have a death wish!!! Here's a picture of the garbage I bought:

Perfecta Ammo made in Italy

Just purchased 2 boxes ea 9mm $10.97 and .45 $18.97 heading to the range. We let you know how things turn out.

The 99mm stuff did not work well in Glock 17C with ported barrel. Worked fine in an FMK and a Shield 9. Did seem to have a more noticeable muzzle flash than some other factory rounds or my reloads.

I bought 4 boxes of the 40cal for my compact m&p and I was very disappointed.
I ran 2 boxes so far and they just didn't like to feed.
I'm going to do a cleaning on the gun but I just don't think that's the problem. I'll stick with the winchesters/Remington's
I'm new on this page so please forgive me if I'm not doing something right.
