No need for anyone to complain ever again
If you have a computer, a credit card, and a mailing address, 22 is plentiful and inexpensive.
And you don't even have to get dressed...

Mistake on my part, didn't see all the pages attached..
Still at the price of the ammo I found, and it's availabity, I feel that $.08 per rd is a good deal..At least for todays market..
I am speaking the same exact ammo...

Oh it is. Good find.
I was just heading off the usual negative responses to threads like this.

Rhetorician Response
Hello all:
I was just out running some errands this morning. Thought I would stop by our relatively new Academy Sports in C'ville, TN. When I got there I was able to buy two boxes of Federal 22lr, that is 100 count, for less that $5 out the door tax and all.
The guy behind the counter said this past Saturday they had some 1000 count bricks in stock. Also about three weeks ago I stopped by to get my normal daily two box allotment. At that time is was about $8 per 100 total. (Their price has been varying wildly). He asked me if i would prefer a 325 count brick. I said sure. So I purchased a 325 brick for right at $20. I know, I know, not cheap but still "better get 'em while you can" I say.
It seems that Academy has made the market pick up some on the 22lr front, both in price and quantity, since they became the new kids on the block?!
Just in the "for what it is worth" file: One of the guys at a LGS told me that a major reason there has been a run is b/c there are so many AR type 22s being made. And one can run through a brick of 500 count 22s in a short short with no problems at all. Think about it.
My report. I hope it is loosening up some on your front.

The LGS where I work just got in two cases of 325 count Federal Coffee Cans. The boss put them on the shelf at $23. Things are definitely looking up!

Our local Academy has had .22 is stock for the last month or so. Limit 2 50 rd boxes of any brand or one brick per trip. Available on the shelf Blaser/Auto Match/American Eagle/ Winchester /Thunder bolts/CCI etc. So maybe the rush is finally coming to an end......Nothing yet at our local Wally World though.

There is all the 22lr you want@ Midwest gun exchange in Mishawaka IN. No limits, but 10 cents a round CCI, Federal, Rems Win. It has been in stock 2-3 months. I think @ that price people just buy what they need. BiggB

My local Academy has been flush with 22 the past month so I'm guessing yhey signed a new contract with their supplier/s or maybe the buyers at Academy finally woke up. Don't care what the reason was as I'm happy that its showing up.

Update 7 cents a round for Winchester, still no quantity limit. I think we are close to a new norm. When Feds hit 6 cents a round I will think about replacing some stash , after I burn thru another 4 thousand. BiggB

Have never had problem with 22 LR. My LGS has sold it to me for 17.95 a brick for years since I am a known "gun buyer". 380 and 9mm were also always consistently available below $20 for 50 rounds. As mentioned, Academy ammo supplies and prices have for now returned from orbit as well. Wal-Mart is still "pot luck".
