I have shot Fiocchi now in both my shield and my C.O.R.E on numerous outings and it always shoots like ****. The round never feeds all the way! Anyone know why?

@ PERFECTCIRCLE1-

I just bought about 1,000 rounds of Fiocchi .40 S&W 170GR FMJ for my Sig 229 break-in and training.

I bought it cause the price ($12.89/box of 50) and never had bad experiences with Euro factory ammo.

I"m Out of Country so haven't shot any.

You telling' me it's gonna be problems???

What Cal is your 226? How often do you clean it and how many rounds have gone thru it if i may ask?

Thanks-mog

It's actually made in America I believe, the company is Italian owned. I love the ammo--shot 3 boxes of .38 special this afternoon in fact--but I have only shot revolver rounds. I can't speak to it's use in autos.

My son, dad, nephew, and I shoot fairly regularly and we have not had any issues with Fiocchi in .45 acp or 9mm, in any semi-auto firearms including Glock, Sig, H&K, Beretta, Remington, and Springfield. It cycles great in my S&W model 41 in standard velocity .22 LR. Of course there are no problems cycling it in .38 special or .357 magnum in wheel guns. It is reliable ammo and inexpensive.

I must be lucky, I haved used some in the past with good results. I have also reloaded those cases many times and do not believe any have split yet, way better cases than the federals I got in the beginning as well, those are splitting.

I have had good experiences with the cheap blue box Fiocchi in both 9mm and. 380. Both of my 9s will eat just about anything other than WWB reliably including reloaded. The two Bersa .380s don't like WWB or S&B. Everything else I've tried has worked just as expected.

Fiocchi has been good in most of my handguns, but I had some problems with one or two guns. A gunsmith told me that in his opinion, Fiocchi does not have consistent case dimensions.

I've only bought 4 boxes of Fiocchi Blue box 357 and had no problems with them running in my Coonan Classic 357 Mag 1911 pistol. And no problems in my Rossi 92 SRC carbine either. The price was wayyy more reasonable and was in stock than any other ammo that was in stock at the time. I would buy it again.
