Question vintage/collectible ammo guys some guidance requested

First some background.
A friend of mine, a member here also, bought a large lot of it.
I'm trying to help him, as best I can, liquidate it.
He really has some of everything from Black powder on.
This stuff is rifle pistol and shotgun.
A large portion is full boxes.

Where would be the best places and methods to sell it ?

Right now just some of the basics would help us a lot.

This is an example of the oddities he acquired.

Thanks in advance for any help given

Those are 50-95 WCF! You don't see them every day. I think Remington bought UMC in about 1912. These should be older than that.

I'd join an ammo collector's forum, and read, ask questions, and learn all I could before deciding how to price them.

I'd personally be interested in Savage brand ammo if you have any.

Paul, consider selling it here on the forums. Shipping ammo isn't really as big a deal as some make it out to be. You'll want to ship UPS as you can't ship ammo through the post office. You can find info about ORM-D stickers you'll need for the packages at the UPS website: http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/res...mmunition.html

Got any .300 Savage, by chance?

Unhappy

Paul, consider selling it here on the forums.

Problem is I wouldn't know pricing and the difference between a $5.00,$50.00 or $500.00 one

I have collected antique ammunition for 5 decades. More pictures and descriptions would help me guide you in the selling of your ammo. There are a few stead fast rules that need to be followed if you want top money. NEVER polish the ammo, let the professionals that purchase it clean it to their specs. Never use tape on the boxes. Do not break up full boxes into individual rounds. If you want to PM me I will try to assist you.
