Speer Gold Dot 53927 LE vs Speer Gold Dot 53617 LE
Anyone know the difference between Speer Gold Dot 53927 LE vs Speer Gold Dot 53617 LE? Both say they are 124+p 50/ box. I have purchased the 53617 LE in the past, but never heard on the 53927 LE.

I'm pretty sure that they are the same, but the 53927 is the SKU used for .gov users. Sort of like the Gold Dot G2 54226 and 54227. Same round, just a different SKU.
Olin seems to do this more than ATK, they offer most Ranger loads with .gov SKU such as Q4364 being the same as RA9B.

Thanks, that's what I was wondering. I knew personal use had a different number and was 20 rounds, just couldn't figure out why there were 2 numbers for the 50 round boxes.

The "927" (G2) needs a 5" barrel to expand correctly !!
DON'T use then in a 4" or less........................
One net test with a 3 and 4" barrel Failed......
a 6" at 1028 fps at ten feet, expanded in gel and 4G.

Thanks...Speer wrote me saying it they were identical, just 1 for LE and 1 for government orders. You make sense the government orders might be a little different spec. Wonder why 4 replies from different people at Speer say they are identical?

Sorry, I got my numbers mixed up.........
the 53927 and 23617 are +P 124gr 9mm loads.
23611 is the short barrel and the standard 23618 loading.
The 147gr G2 is number 54226, that needs a 6" barrel.
Usually the "53" is a 50 box and the "23" comes in a 20 box.
As a note;
you might want to weigh each load..........
my 135gr SB loads went from 210 down to 207grs in weight.
I only save the 209 gr loads or heavier for SD use.........
and shoot the light loads for practice, due to lower fps.
Good luck.
