Default 1905 4th, .38 SPL target loads.

Greetings,

I don't reload as of yet, however many of my friends do.

Might someone have a pet load they might share?

I'm in interested in the twenty - twenty five yard range.

Thank you in advance,

Steven

The standard target load for the .38 Special for at least the last Century is a 148 grain full wadcutter bullet and 2.8-3.1 grains of Bullseye powder. Some prefer the hollow-base wadcutter bullet, others like the solid base bullet. Whichever shoots the best groups for you.

By chance if your weapon does not do well with the 148gr target bullets..........

The old ammo also had the 158gr lead round nose bullet at around 720 to 755 feet per second for their use.
