CI 22lr ammo
Does anyone know anything about this ammo. There is very little info on the internet about it or the company( Cascade Cartridge International), not to be confused with CCI( Cascade Cartridge Inc.)
It' a Mexican company is all I can find out.
Does this ammo meat SAAMI standards? Is it reliable and clean burning?
Has anyone used it?
Starting to become available at Cabelas.

There's a very well known ammunition company based in Lewiston Idaho called CCI (Cascade Cartridge Inc.).
Could this possibly be what you're inquiring about?

I don't think that's what he is referring to. It's not CCI, but merely CI. It is from Mexico, and the little I hear about it is that it's overpriced for what it is. Some of the big box outdoor stores are dabbling in it.
I prefer the American CCI above all when it comes to .22 rimfire, but if I'm going Mexican, I have been quite satisfied with the Aguila line. And it has been readily available the last six months or so.

Gee, this is a real poser!
All you have to do is read the box of CI Ammunition and you will discover it is made in the Mexican factory owned by a subsidiary of Cascade Cartridge, Inc, AKA CCI! Saw some at Cabela's last week and being curious took the time to read the box, and very clearly this is what it is. No reason to believe it is any different in quality than their Lewiston, Idaho manufactured products!

Bought a brick of it from Freedom Munitions but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Checked online reviews before I bought it - reviews were positive as a plinking ammo, the only negative ones seemed to be folks who were disappointed it didn't group like match ammo for two-thirds the price. To which I say, come on, man; you want match ammo groups, buy match ammo.

You may have been the only one that has held a box. And at $65 a brick, I don't care to hold one. Whether CCI oversees it or not. Overpriced when I can get good ammo much cheaper.

But how do you know it isn't good, or overpriced, unless you try it?
Quality is more of a management decision than where some plant is located. My VW GTI was built in Mexico, and it's great.

No one in any of these posts has said or suggested that it might not be any good. The little that I had heard was that it is quite a bit more expensive compared to what I can get and shoot now. A search on Cabela's website confirmed that.
The OP seemed like he wanted some feedback on CI from someone that has actually used it. I don't think anyone has posted back on that yet.

Bought a couple of boxes last week at a local fireworks store at $4.95 per. Haven't had a chance to range test it yet. Cursory inspection looks OK with copper plated bullets that look uniformly seated and well crimped.

If you read more carefully, the name on the box is Cascade Cartridge International. CCI is Cascade Cartridge Inc.

My wife shoots the 40gr 1250fps CI in her Sig 1911-22. She shoots CCI standard velocity (1070fps) in her other .22s, but needed the extra velocity to cycle the Sig. She used to use CCI Mini Mags, but they have been challenging to find lately. No complaints after a few hundred rounds. We typically pay 9 cents/round for it.
