Default another 19-4 ammo question

Thanks for you patience, still ammo confused. Can I safely shoot 130gr. and 158gr. .38 spl. fmj ammo through my nice M19 without risking the forcing cone? I plan to use only 158gr. .357, on a very limited basis...Is it bullet weight only ,or, bullet weight and velocity that causes forcing cone damage? Is fmj .38 ok???>???

Avoid light weight, high velocity .357 Magnum ammunition and you should be fine with all other ammunition selections.

Just stick with 158 grain or larger and you'll be OK.

^No, that confuses the issue. He's absolutely fine to run light bullet ammo in .38 Special through a Model 19. It's the scorching hot 110gr and 125gr .357 Magnum ammo that isn't nice to a K-frame Magnum.

Thank you all!...just a little worried about 130gr.fmj....but at a scorching 800fps,my 19-4 will probably laugh at them,if they go off!!!
