Apparently SGAmmo has a rejected lot of M1153 Special Purpose 9mm for sale - the new 147 grain JHP round for the M17/M18. No idea if it is still available. $29.95/box plus shipping.

For those not interested in reading the description, seems there was inconsistent application of bullet and/or primer sealant. Not much of an issue for civilians unless you like to soak your ammo in mud and/or water, but poorly sealed primers or bullets could pose a problem for ammo that might be destined for a theater of combat.

I am not personally interested in buying any, but has anyone successfully placed an order with SG yet?
Recently or ever? I've ordered from them half a dozen times but haven't bought any from them since pandemic began. I prefer to use them over just about any vendor. I was thinking about getting some of that M1153 as that's not something you see for sale very often.

Specifically the M1153.
I've bought a lot of ammo from SGAmmo, over several years, even during the pandemic. He still had stock I wanted at prices near wholesale, even then. I bought a case of 1152 110gr 9mm a bit over a year ago at a reasonalble price, when no one else had it in stock.
I have, although not for this. The orders I placed were quite a while back. I prefer ammoman.
I looked at the listing. Yes, no sealant, or hidden. They have the t-series special purpose bullet, and loaded hot, 10-15% over SAAMI, or +P civilain (European or NATO standard). I have a couple of Sig's which like 147's. I think I'm going to order 7 boxes, so I get free shipping. Stocking stuffers for some of my 9mm-carrying friends, and keep a few for myself. I have a lot of 9mm - don't need full cases of "situational use" ammo.
Yes, just the other day I purchased A couple of boxes of .357 Magnum, 4 boxes of 158 gr. .38 Special. I placed the order on Monday morning and took delivery on Wednesday morning. Sam Gabbert is a good organization to buy from. Free Shipping over $200.

I looked up the stated specs of the M1153 ammo, seems it is not loaded to +P or +P+ like the 115 grain m1152 load. Stated ballistics of the M1153 ammo are 962 fps from a 4.7 inch barrel. If that is true, then the M1153 is not +P and is actually a lower velocity load than Winchester's other 147 grain standard pressure loads.
