This is probably a dead horse but it's fun to ask without searching through old Forum records.

In a Single Action Army, Colt, any replica, or a Vaquero, are these rounds interchangeable?

Same question but switch to a double action S&W Model 25.

Thanks!

Some Schofield replicas are made for .45 Colt so either round can be used. I believe Taylor's & Company is one that sells them.

Shot my ASM Schofield .45colt revolver today [with Schofield loads]at my cas club’s monthly sass/WASA shoot. Also used a 9mm Astra, .45colt Marlin ‘94 Trapper [with Schofield loads] and my Marlin 12 ga Model 24. Shot the match clean. Came in 5 out of 12. Then we had our Christmas lunch. A fun day. You can also use 45CS brass that’s even shorter than Schofield.
