I shoot lots of .22 mag ammo these days and have found the Armscor 40 grain HP to be very reliable and accurate in my guns but have seen a lot of videos putting it down what say you all ? BTW I just bough a 5000 case from cheaper than dirt 1300 bucks delivered tax shipping and some special heavy handling fee was included. I'm trying to remember what I paid a year or two ago but if I remember correctly it was quite higher for the same ammo. Going to the range Saturday with the S&W 2.0 22 mag testing the Armscor will send along a update afterwards.

If it works in your guns then use it and ignore what anyone else says. I’ve found every gun has its own personality and two identical guns may shoot one load really well and another not perform well at all.

I have a Ruger Precision in 22 WMR and tested 6 or 7 different brands and loads. Some were good and some bad but one stood out as exceptional. Hornady V Max was hands down the best. No others were even close and I tried 3 different loads of CCI.

I recently bought a Smith 317 and my wife had one too. Hers shoot Federal Automatch best and mine likes Armscor.

100yds / 5 shots.

Oh don't worry I'm planning on shooting Armscor regardless I was just wondering what others experienced with it. My freedom arms 252 loves it and shoots 3-4" groups at 300 yards at least with the last batch hope this next lot does as well since i ordered 5000 rounds of it !!

That just goes to show us, it's true rimefire guns are very particular to which ammo they like. I actually have a 22LR pistol which actually shoots best with Thunderbolt ammo!

Yes, they can be very particular. Despite the internet telling me that CCI standard velocity is THE ammo for a S&W 41 my 41 doesn't care for it. But it is reliable and accurate with the less expensive CCI Blazer so that's what it gets.

I purchased some and liked it very much, no issues whatsoever. I'm using it to break in my Taurus TX (very nice pistol). So if it works, use it. Happy shooting.

One of my 41s shoots that T Bolt very well also...except for the occasional Fail to Fire. I've had a few CCI Standard velocity FTFs too

I shot 200 rounds of Armscor through my Walther WMP yesterday - no problem.

My wife and I shot a lot of Armscor .22WMR about 5 or 6 years ago because it was cheap, relatively speaking, and we bought a pile of it. It worked fine, but it was dirty, and after a few cylinders the cases would start sticking during ejection. A few more cylinders and we'd have to whack the ejector rod on the table to get the cases out. Once we ran out, we stopped buying it. These days, we shoot CCI Maxi Mags exclusively for range ammo.

Were you shooting a revolver or semi auto ? I'll be honest I never noticed if it's real dirty I only have one cylinder in my F.A.-252 that it sticks a tad but so does most types the due to the match chambers.

We only shoot .22WMR in revolvers. And we both had the same issues. It ran fine, never had a light strike or any other problem shooting the ammo, but as I said, it was dirty, and ejection would get progressively more difficult. We went through a few thousand rounds between us. The guns were Ruger LCRs.

If it's available at a good price, I wouldn't discourage people from buying it, but I would advise them to be prepared to deal with what we experienced.

I'm slightly confused. If you shoot "a few thousand" rounds of any rimfire ammo in a revolver er you are going to dirty up the works. Rimfire ammo is inherently dirty by it's nature for the most part. I don't think it's specific to Armscor rimfire ammo.

50 yard groups from a handgun. I’m impressed. Looks like my 15 yard groups. ☹️ On a good day.

You shot those groups @50 yards with a Ruger LCR? Did you mean 50 feet?

That's a 2" barrel J frame size revolver, 50 yards? Join the Olympic team.

I don’t shoot a lot of WMR in a revolver but in my rifle I don’t see a lot of dirt. The ammo I shout and I think most wmr is jacketed unlike 22LR that’s lead or plated and covered with a layer of lube. In my experience it’s the lube that’s the problem.

A Ruger Super Wrangler is near the top of my next gun purchase. I will probably shoot some .22 L.R. through it to make sure it works but after that I plan on using .22 Magnum exclusively in it for farm use.

My local farm supply store sells Armscor .22 L.R. and often runs it on sale. I don’t think I have seen any of it in .22 Magnum. I will check next time I go there.

We didn't shoot a few thousand rounds in one range session. It was over many months in a few different guns with regular cleanings in between.
