Buying what I can, when I see a decent deal. For the most part
my shooting is with my reloads

If you need 5.56 ammo maybe buy now as the word on the street is that Lake City Arsenal (Gov't run) will quit selling 5.56 Nato to the civilian market as a result of a couple of things going on across the pond. I've heard they supplied about 30% of their production to the civilian market. Reportedly prices have begun to rise on 5.56 Nato once again. Word to the wise....and fact check this info yourself as I only heard this recently.

I too have Reloads and of course .22 long rifle.
Recently found the scare 300 Winchester Short
Magnum now I’m plussed up 100.
The other day I also found 2 bags of 41
Remington Magnum.
I left the other bag, 100rds. will do me for
now (with the anticipation of a new S&W 657
Mountain Gun).
So I’m stacking when I find it at a reasonable
price.

Purchased lots of 30-06 and 30 Carbine this year, plus some 300 Blackout. I have never stopped stocking up on ammo when I find a good price.
I'm always on the hunt.

I stocked in the late 1990s. Enough to last and still pass on to my children.
Plus I reload.

After nearly a week, SGAmmo sent me an email blast. Cases only, limited selection, and 5-10 days shipping. Heaviest orders he's seen in many years. He still has some Lake City 223, some IMI selections, and seemingly a good selection of 9mm, .380, and 22LR. 6.5 and 7.62 available, also.

The run already started. My buddy’s shop sales went up like crazy this weekend on ammo and bs AR15 that weren’t moving before. Gonna be a fun one.

Another great reason to stock up. The future is fuzzy, don't get caught short again.

Never really thought of this but...I usually have around $20K to $25K worth of ammo on hand. Can ammo be insured (flood, Fire, Etc.)?

Heh-heh, $25K used to be a shipload of ammo, now it fills the bottom of the closet in the spare room. joe

More
Still stacking. One of my favorite Local Gun
Stores had Hornady 300 Winchester Short
Magnum reloading brass. It was a very
good price, so I grabbed a box.
This Hornady 300WSM brass has been very
good to me for many reloads. This is the
third box in two weeks, I’m set for a long
time.

My job required me to be in a plane for hundreds of hours . . . taking a cue from the military guys I knew, the saying always went, " The only time you can have too much gas or too much ammo is when you're on fire".
