Default .44 Automag, 218 Bee Are they good for anything nowadays?

Good afternoon to all. I an buying a large lot of ammo from a friend of mine who is "cleaning house" aka needs Christmas money. In the lot ,among other things, are 4 boxes of 44 Automag and a box of 218 Bee. I was wondering if these cartridges are obsolete or do people still use them?
Thank you all in advance for taking the time to look at my thread and your comments

Yes.....everything has a market.
Especially with ammo prices now.
Shipping can be the killer.

Older hard to find cartridges definitely have a niche market.

Not sure about Automag. Rifles in 218 Bee are still around but not any new ones that I'm aware of. I've seen the ammo for sale at different stores in the past. I think Hornady and Winchester still make 218 Bee ammo. It's expensive for sure.

It would probably sell well on one of the auction sites like GunBroker.

Thank you. There is our small local military (can't say gun in NJ) show this Sunday. I doubt it, but maybe someone there is looking for this exact ammo?

PM me if you wish to sell the .218 Bee ammo. I'd be happy to take it off your hands at any reasonable price.

Why? FWIW, I spend most of my time on the Internet using my laptop (in my lap) with the TV on in the background.
I'm watching the Lord of the Rings marathon as I type this reply...

In answer to your original question: YES, obsolete cartridges have value. You just have to find the right buyer. GunBroker ads are pretty cheap, and searching their completed auctions for your specific item can be a good guide for pricing the items you have to sell.

218 around here would go for 70 dollars or more. What brand is the automag. or is it reloads?? The automag is such a fussy gun esp the early ones

Yes. Both cartridges are better than the 350 legend & 300 BO.

I've had a 30-plus year affair with .218 Bee, old Winchester Model 43 bolt action topped with a steel-tube Weaver 3-9X scope. Groups under 1" at 100 yards, 45-grain JHP at around 2800 FPS. Very convincing on coyotes and other pesky critters, always wanted to give it a try on wild turkey but haven't so far.

Last time I saw factory ammo was at least 10 years ago, and it was about $50 per box back then. I suspect that it might bring over a buck per round today. Fortunately I have a couple hundred rounds of brass and roll my own.

Not many Atomags around anymore.. Good factory ammo here would still bring at least 2 dollars a round. I have a friend back east...Yeah I do have a frienf .. He has an early Automag..Likes to shoot it...hates to reload for it. He also has a 475 Wildey. He goes back to the shrink occasionally for flinch therapy
