Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore has Independence 40 S&W 180gr FMJs : 500# for $139.99. At 28¢ each they are in 9mm country.
Ammo Depot has US Cartridge 9mm+P 115gr with Nosler JHPs : 200# for $80 with Free $hipping on orders over $150. They are probably the older "Sporting Handgun" bullets, but at 1200 fps ought to do the job: best price I saw on those projectiles alone was in the 27¢ per round range.
