Hello
The 45 AUTO reviews that I did were shot with a Walther PPQ 45 with a polygonal 4***¼ inch barrel.
First I do forensic exam of the ammunition. Next I shoot a group while chronographing. Targets were were set at 15 yards. Chronograph is a Oehler 35P
Then one round of each ammunition brand is shot into a 55 gallon plastic barrel of water. The bullet is then recovered, photographed and then measured for expansion. In cases where the bullet fragments and loses its jacket, a weight is taken with all the recovered material and also a weight taken with just the lead core.

Data Sheet

I must comment on the primers. In both the 185gr and the 230gr BONDED loads, the primers were highly unusual. At first glance, I thought they were small pistol primers inside a collar for a large primer pocket. Well, that is creative, but that was not the case. Once the primers were removed it became apparent that the primers were a little bit too large in diameter for the primer pocket, so when seating they were shoved in there with such force that a ring was swagged.. You can see in the photos what this looked like. The ammo fired and functioned fine, no issues. I just had never seen this before in factory ammo.
Aside from that, accuracy and velocity was good enough. This bullet did not expand quite as well in water as the HTP ammo did, but it did expand. These seem to be truly bonded as there was no jacket separation in either the 185gr or the 230gr.
