Hello
The 45 AUTO reviews that I did were shot with a Walther PPQ 45 with a polygonal 4*¼ inch barrel.

First I do forensic exam of the ammunition. Next I shoot a group while chronographing. Targets were were set at 15 yards. Chronograph is an Oehler 35P

Here is the link to all the photos of the review;

I found this ammunition available from Fast Ammo out of Dallas Texas for $15.85 (31.7 cents per round), for a box of 50. With shipping, $28.00 delivered. Not bad. The ammunition is accurate enough and very consistent. Velocity is about where it should be. As a plus, I will now have 50 pieces of Winchester brass to play with.

I'd wager that and average of 838 fps from a 4 1/4" barrel will translate to 860-875 fps from a 5 inch barrel, so this sounds like real mil-spec service grade ammo, not the now common 230 grain FMJ stuff that barely makes 830 fps from a 5 inch barrel.

If memory serves the military spec was 825 FPS +/- 20 FPS from a 5 inch 1911.

I’ve fired a bunch of this Winchester ammo and I agree that it is solid.

Good to know

Just got couple of cases of this Winchester Service Grade for my new SIG P220 45. Knew it's good ammo, thanks for confirming!

I stocked up on WWB 230 JHP years ago. When it was still not painfully priced. I watched a gel test of it recently and in his gel it did not expand much if any depending on gun so I will have to find something else for defense against gummy bears but it should still act like a SWC or flat nose which is incrementally better than ball, they claim.

Not worth arguing, but it's already a large diameter regardless of expansion. Jello testing may lean more toward the academic rather than the real.

It's good ammunition, from my experience.
