Default .38 hollow points that are not +P

I have an model .38 bodyguard with the blue frame and stainless cylinder. I'm looking for a hollow point that is not +P. I have looked at the local sporting goods, but noone carry's anything in a hollow point execpt in +P. Any suggestions on what kind and where to find them would be appreciated.

Right now the question is where to find them. Everybody seems to be out-of-stock on just about everything. One of my picks would be the Federal Nyclad "Chiefs Special" if I could find it. They were suppose to start making it again but I haven't seen any new stock yet.

Buffalo Bore makes a 158 grain LSWC-HC that's a standard pressure load (it is a handful in an Airweight). It should be relatively easy to find either direct from Buffalo Bore or through Midway.

I have the new production Federal Nyclad 125 HP's. They were in stock at Midway a few weeks ago.

Hornady offers a Critical Defense load in standard pressure, but it's only 110 grains. They have been pretty easy to find locally.

+1 on the Nyclad. I bought a box of 50 a couple months ago. I keep my Mod 60 loaded with it. I got it online, but at the moment I can't remember the source. If/when I do, I will post it.

Just remembered...

There are a number of quality standard pressure loads out there. This is what I have used and can recommend (I use the 125 Gr. load but most prefer 158's):

Federal Premium makes a 110 grain Hydra-Shok standard pressure .38, though where I have seen them, they are the exact same price as the +P.

I have also seen the cheap Winchester white box at Wal Mart in regular .38 selling for $20 for fifty rounds, BUT the hollow points are a really cheap design.

Thanks for all the quick responses. I think I'll order a box of the Nyclad and give them a try.

I got a box of Federal Premium ammo right here that I used to load up my older .38.
They are 125 grain nyclad HP. Not plus P ammo. Kinda pricey at $23.95 for a box of 20, but they look real good.

2 weeks ago was up to Kansas City to see my sister and went to Cabella's while the girls shopped at legends. They had just received a shipment of Federal Nyclad 125 grain 38 Special for $14.99 a box, bought 3 and left some for others. So they are starting to hit the market. The boxes are 20 count. Mike
