FYI...my SW40VE does fit fairly well in my Glock Sport/Combat Holster. Trigger guard not all of the way in - but enough to lock the weapon somewhat securely.

I keep reading about this phenomena (Sigmas in Glock holsters) but my SW9E will not fit in any of my Glock holsters, and I have about 6-7 of them. They are mostly leather, but two are kydex and none of them are even close. Then again I don't carry my SW9E either.

I just received in the mail today a holster that I bought from RSR Defense in Israel, and it may become my favorite holster for my SW40VE...

I bought the one for the M&P/40 that they listed in the off chance that I could modify it to carry my Sigma, as I didnt want the passive restraint that the Fobus and some other Kydex holsters have. This one was only $29.00 shipped and has the trigger guard latch retention like the Serpa does.

I did have to modify the holster a little... there was a ridge in the area where the trigger guard goes that kept the pistol from sliding in all the way, but a minute or two with the dremel and it was gone. The holster is still tight, but you can draw from it easily. It takes a bit of a push to get the pistol in far enough for it to latch, but I am sure that it will give a bit as I wear it. The cant is adjustable with an allen head screw (Wrench included) and I opted for the paddle style, although you can buy the belt adapter for another $12.00. It is also long enough that the end of the barrel doesn't stick out of it, something that I disliked about several other OWB holsters that I have.

To be specific, the holster is the one sold by Glock. One Sport/Combat is used for all model G's except for "wide framed" G20, G21, G30, G29. Other size fits those models. I bought mine for $10. used, and is a great deal.

Any holster used for any handgun should be evaluated to make sure that all of the pistol's "controls" (safeties, mag releases, etc) will not be affected by the holster.

The use of a holster designed for one weapon to carry another makes this an even greater concern.

My general advice is to only use holsters specifically made to properly fit your handgun.

Best regards.

I read the title of this thread outloud and my Sigma almost puked:D

I've got a holster that I used to use for an XD-9 I used to have, and one we bought for my wife's G-19. They're both leather, pancake type holsters. The Sigma fits them both. Just a tad snug in the one for the Glock.

The place where I got the one for the XD lists the same holster for the Sigma.

It won't fit in either of the plastic holsters I got for the XD. Just as well. Horrid things they were.
