What guns do you carry the most?
OK guys here is my question so answer it honestly. What guns do you guys carry the most ? To be honest I would have to say that I carry my J Frame Airweight and my P3AT most often.

My Glock 27 followed by my 642. Ruger LCP as BUG.. sometimes my only. Third place for most carried primary would be my 681.

Glock 17 is my duty gun and it gets carried off duty as well.
i prefer that if (God forbid) i have to shoot somebody off duty the dept.'s gun gets put in the rust locker instead of my own.

I've carried my 1911Sc commander everyday since I got it about 3 years ago, before that it was a 40VE. If I tried carrying one of the small guns I might get spoiled by it so, I'll just continue carrying large guns in ignorant bliss.

Typical carry is a model 60. If not that, Glock G19. Every once in awhile, model 66-5 (2.5").

My carry guns are an M649-2, an M649, or an M38.
I have carried two of the above on occasion, particulary in winter when the M38 becomes my coat pocket gun.

I carry my Springfield XD .40 at all times. I practice every day and am quite proficient with it. Most PD's are going with the .40 today. The Springfields now come in sub compacts. I carry the 4" with a Galco IWB N3 holster and it is quite concealable with an outside shirt. I carry a Marshall pancake holster when I wear a Jacket. Great gun with a lot of safeties.

Interesting you should ask, as I just changed yesterday. It used to be a P229 in .40 and a Colt agent with a hammer shroud. now it's a Glock 23C and the Colt. Sometimes I toss a .25 colt 1908 into the mix for fun, too. Ammo is the Federal 165 and the Speer Gold Dot short barrel.

Around the farm and into the farm town near by a 637-2 in a Galco pancake and NAA 22 in the front pocket. When I go to the city a 1911A1 in a pancake. In winter a Ruger Black Hawk in 357 Maximum with hand loads in sholder rig out side of my cover alls with my coat over everything. Always have the NAA even in my jammy pocket. I will always follow Coopers first rule.

For on-body carry, my usual choices are a KT .32 or .380 with a S&W 642. For my daily commute to and from the office, a Taurus 85 rides in my briefcase.

I always carry my Kimber Pre Series II Classic Gold Match. The only changes to my carry line up is I will grab 2 spare mags instead of 1. What can I say, I am a creature of habit and love my 1911's?

During my working hours, I carry a Glock 22. In my evening times out, I carry a S&W model 66 or 686 with four inch barrels. When wearing a suit or jacket on weekends I will carry a 1911 in .45acp.
Over the years I have learned it is not what you carry but how well you can use it.
I have an attorney friend that carries a custom Springfield .45 all the time and has done so for the last 8 yrs. But he has NEVER fired it. The gun remains unfired since new. It may not even work but it has been well over 15 yrs since the guy has shot a handgun. To me, that is stupid.

Mainly a Model 37 DAO but at times a Tomcat. Both in pocket holsters or the 37 in an ankle holster. Sometimes one reload.
I used to carry a Model 66 or 686 snub until my back got bad and have reduced the weight now.

Now, a Colt 1908 in .380 made in 1930. More frequently a Smith 386PD or a Colt 1991. Less often, a CS45 or a Glock M30. All carried in one of several pancake holsters. It depends on the occasion, the weather or my mood.

4" 29, or a Ruger 45 SA. Now and then a Smith 19.
Winchester 94, Winchester 71, 1903 Springfield sporter, Browning 86 carbine.
More often the larger caliber guns since the bears have been increasing their range. All the old ideas about what "bear country" is don't apply any longer around here.

I probably carry my Kahr P9 the most, but carry P series Sigs next most often (226, 220, or 245). Of late, as temperatures rise and clothing options narrow, I've also been finding times when it's very convenient to slip the 642 in a front pocket.

I practice with what I carry & feed it well...I hope you do, too.
Taurus PT-145, 99% of the time; S&W 637-2 Titanium or my Walther PPK/S, 1%.
But it isn't just the gun, its what you feed it.
The PT-145 has Aguilar (alloy, super frag) and Hydra-shock (magazine filler for add'l mags), the S&W has Federal Personal Defense (110gr super sonic with high fragmentation), and the PPK/S has Glazer (ballistics like a .357 mag). All of these rounds perform way past FMJ and normal Jacketed bullets. Cast lead bullets don't belong in personal defense weapons--in my less than humble opinion--but I'd opt for them over FMJ rounds.
Finally, I carry speed loaders for the S&W--something you need to practice with regularly--and extra mag(s) for the PT and PPK/S.
