Default New Sights for Mdl 19, for CCW

Hi All,
I've got a 2.5" bbl, model 19-5 that's going to be my carry gun. A new gun is probably not in the budget right now. It's got plain black sights that I'd like to update to something more visible for low-light situations. I've put a dot of yellow hi-vis paint on the front ramp and that helps quite a bit. I'm looking for some recommendations on what to do with it. Is the gunsmithing extensive/expensive to mill the front for an interchangeble, pinned sight?

And while we're at it, any recommendations on IWB holsters? The K-frames seem to be the step children of holster-makers.

Thanks
JLM

I like the FIST 1A kydex/leather hybrid with a body shield. I'm sure they will make you one for a K frame.

Meprolight or Trijicon should still offer a white dot/tritium dot front blade and rear blade for the K frame. If your front sight has a red insert, the white dot/tritium replaces that.

I really like Cylinder and Slide fixed sights w/dots for the rear and a gold bead on the front sight. This set up works well for ccw and is seeable in most light conditions. For an IWB holster I use Kramer horsehide" Its da Bomb"
