New nomenclature that I am unfamiliar with. FMJFP. I know FMJ is full metal jacket but the FP is what is throwing me. Anyone have any Idea?

I'm presuming FMJFP is full jacket Flat Point. But I could be wrong
I carry Win white box JHPs when I have the .40.

Any of the modern hollow points, not brand specific, whichever is cheapest. Rely more on shot placement than some wonder bullet.

If you want penetration in a Hollow Point, the Hornady XTP rounds don't mushroom out so huge as the HST's or Gold Dots, and will penetrate further. Depending on the caliber, they are also loaded a bit lighter and have a bit less recoil. As TNoutdoors9 will tell you on Youtube, slower bullets often penetrate more.

"I don't always carry .40cal, but when I do... it's 175gr. Hornady Critical Duty".
Stay thirsty my friends.

155 grain Federal Hydra Shoks in the Glock 27 that I carried as back up and off duty until I retired and still use as my EDC. That's what I was issued and it shoots to POA.

My old department carried the Glock 22/23 with Speer Gold dots. I'm retired now and carry a revolver and don't have one in 40, nor do I want one.

I have a Glock 22, 23 and 27. Got them in the mid '90s. At that time the articles I read said the Winchester 155 grain Silvertip had a 96% one shot stop rating. Had about 500 ft. lbs. of energy. I startedusing them exclusively and still do. Kinda hard to find, but I bought several boxes and feel ready for anything.

I always 180 grain.
Duty issue is Remington Golden Sabre and I like it. I carry Winchester SXT in my personal owned .40's.

My duty weapon is loaded with 165 grain Federal HST's and my Sig 239 is loaded with 165 grain Federal Tacticals. IMHO, Federal is THE premier ammunition manufacturer. I've had the fewest issues with rounds while shooting their stuff.
