Default cross draw holster

Looking at this as a viable option. Anybody got any pics of revolvers carried this way. What brand of holster do youprefer?

Andrew's Leather makes some fine pieces. You might be interested in his MacDaniel II w/crossdraw option.

I have been pleased with the Bianchi Cyclone holster. For both revolver (4") and pistol (1911), it has worked well. I like them for hunting when I have to wear a heavy coat. They are also nice when driving a car. Sorry but no pictures. JMHO.

The Galco Phoenix can be used strong side or as a cross draw. I use one on my 625.

The big advantage of a cross draw holster is that it works very well if you are seated in a vehicle for long periods of time. For just regular street carry, I personally prefer a OWB Belt Scabbard. To me, they seem to be more concealable and more secure than a cross draw, but everybody has their own preferences.

I just purchased a cross-draw from John Bianchi Leather, nice but very pricey. I wouldn't do it again, but that's what happens with impulse buying. At the time, it was the only one I could locate that had a +20 degree cant for an easy grasp across the body..

Crossdraw has more advanges than disadvances.
I like crossdraw for my second CCW-always carry two firearms.

Simply Rugged's holsters can often be worn both ways. I tend not to wear cross draw myself because of the possibility of someone grabbing the butt of the gun and having quicker access to my own gun than me. Bill Jordan pointed this issue out quite well in his book No Second Place Winner.

I was thinkin a nice Belt scabbard for the stongside carry Model 29 and a crossdraw for the 3" 66 might be a nice combo! :-)

I don't have his cross draw, but Eric Larson makes a nice one. (I have a pancake for my K-frame.) Take a look at his web site: H.B.E. Specialty LeatherWorks. Click on Belt next to OWB under the Images, Holster Pics in the menu on the left. His web site is a little clunky, but he does a good job with his leather.
