Default Prepaid Firearms Legal Defense Programs - Are They Worth It?

I see a lot of these programs out there like where you pay monthly or yearly for a membership in case you ever get involved in a shooting and you need legal defense, but do they really work and are they really worth it?

One of the reasons I asked is because when I went to take my conceal carry classes, the instructor advised all of us to get it. Seemed strange, but he did.

That would make me wonder if he or a close relative sells the policies. But then I'm a nasty, cynical old man.

I buy the NRA-endorsed Lockton Affinity LLC personal firearms liability and self defense coverage policy, $269 annually, and hope I never have to find out if it's worth anything.

There's another NRA-endorsed self defense company that sells insurance policies for armed citizens known as Second Call Defense, albeit it's more expensive $435 annually). I just became a gun owner a month ago, and am too wondering if it's worth it.
