Any holster maker should be able to build you what you want. You might want to check out the forum vendor area, several are listed.

If it were me, I would check out Lobo Gun Leather. Roy Cory is a great guy with whom to work, and his holsters are very nice, priced right, and shipped quickly.

I took s&wchad's advice and looked @ the Forum vendors. (great idea--no wonder he's the Moderator) I ended up contacting Lefty Lewis @ Bell Charter Oaks Custom Holsters. He's an 'ol time pistolero (like me) who has rubbed elbows with some of the GREATS. He's buildin' me just what I need, a "Challenger Crossdraw", at a VERY reasonable cost. He's got a Valentine's special runnin' right now--$10. off any holster. I had a great conversation with him. He loves Military and LEO Veterans and tries to help us out. Thanks to all the Forum members who responded to my inquiry........

Smile Challenger Crossdraw

Joe;
Thanks for your kind remarks and I'm glad I was able to help. This holster was designed for folks with special needs as you know. Specifically, for those wheelchair bound. An old friend, 86 at the time, was a double amputee as a result of severe diabetes. He was accosted on the street one day, beaten and robbed. He was a retired policeman, had a permit, but hadn't carried a weapon in decades. After the incident, that changed. He had an old Colt Police Positive that had the barrel cut to 2 inches and began carrying appendix IWB, but soon discovered it was agonizing after a few hours in the chair.

I came up with the CHALLENGER design as a result of his predicament and being reminded that so many people today use those scooters or power chairs to get around.

Unfortunately, that makes them appear vulnerable to the mutts who victimize the elderly or handicapped. My friend found the holster to work well for him, the design minimizes or entirely eliminates the muzzle pinch experienced with more traditional style holsters. He passed away a couple of years ago, but remained active and felt confident when he journeyed about. I'd like to think I made him safer for my efforts, he was a great guy and a helluva cop in his day.

Cheers;
Lefty
