Default Serpa Holster Question

I am thinking of buying a serpa type paddle holster for a sig 250. I am concerned that these type of kydex (plastic) holsters will damage the finish of a blued gun. Please provide advice on this issue. TKS

Sir;
I also have a 250 but have been carrying it in a leather holster. I have used the Serpa's for M9s (Beretta 92 FS) and the M11 (SigSauer P228). I don't recall what the finish was on the M11s, but will say after a year of carrying there will be some standard holster wear. I don't think that it is going to damage the Nitron finish on the 250 to the point that it will degrade the protection, but as with all of the "plastic holsters" there is going to be some type. I know that isn't a scientific answer...but the government didn't train me to be a scientist

Ive used Serpa's with a stainless finish gun and the only scratches ive seen are tiny ones on the front of the slide near the very muzzle of the gun.Its nothing to be concerned about.

Unless you have a rare, collectible, gun the finish of the gun should never be a concern. There was a similar post recently. I remarked that nicks/scractches and other signs of use are as it should be. It's a tool...just like a hammer is a tool. Signs of wear/use are altogether appropriate.

Be safe.

Unless you buy a silk, cashmere and velvet lined holster from Tiffany's, they ALL will cause good ol' saddle wear.

You just gotta love 'em - beauty marks and all.
