Who manufactures a holster for a 3" Model 65? I'm looking for a leather, belt holster. I thought this would be an easy task, but it's not looking good. Thanks in advance.

For right hand draw or crossdraw check out Bianchi #12676. Mine just arrived today, shown here with a 3" Model 10...

Model 65 3" holster

Mine is marketed by Old World in Oregon City, OR. It is their Model #23571, and says 'made in Italy'. It is interesting in that it has 2 forward belt slits and 1 rear one. This allows you to have a slight forward cant (~15 deg) or a 45 degree forward cant. I found it on Ebay. Do a Google search, as several sites advertise them for sale, and there are a number of them on Ebay.

Here are a couple of holsters made for me by Lobo Gun Leather. The top one is a Model 1 Pancake in cordovan brown for my 3 inch model 65. Bottom is a Model 1 Pancake, basketweave, in cordovan brown for my model 442.

Great quality, good prices, custom configuration and very decent turnaround for a custom made holster. (Don't know what his current backlog is, but I've not had to wait more than 30 days or so when he made mine).

Thanks for the leads. I really thought there would have been more choices than there are. I really like the Bianchi 5BH(L) but they don't offer it for a 3".

I have found that my holster money is better spent ordering from a custom maker, such as Tucker Gunleather, Kramer, AKJ Concealco, Lobo, Simply Rugged, and many more. They cost a little bit more than "factory" holsters, and there is usually a wait, but I have found that it's worth being patient. I have found "factory" holsters to be generally lacking, they usually end up in my "drawer of sub par leather". Google "gunleather" instead of "holster", and find someone who has photos of Revolver holsters on their website.

I think this is good advice. You should have no problem finding a holster if you go with a custom maker. From experience I can recommend Seth's Gun Leather, Sideguard, Milt Sparks, and Kramer.

Thanks for even MORE suggestions. I'll check these out. Right now I'm leaning towards the Milt Sparks PMK, but will also check out the others. Really nice looking holster you have there Pure Custom. I'll check it out and get back with you.

I have had Bianchi 5BH & 5BHL holsters for years. Good for utility carry.

For concealed carry with a 3" I would go with a Lobo Model 1 Pancake or an Enhanced Pancake. Add Inner Hammer Shield, $5.00 extra. On the Model 1 Pancake also add Detail Boning. Detail Boning is standard on the Enhanced Pancake.

I have a Model 1 Pancake for my 625 in a 3". I have a second Model 1 Pancake for my 638. I have the Enhanced Pancake for my 4" Model 64 HB. I just ordered 3 more yesterday.
All were Enhanced Pancakes for:
Willy Clapp GP100 3" (For my Brother)
S&W 310 Night Guard 2.75"
S&W 610 in 4"

Ray e-mailed me back that lead time was 4 to 5 weeks.
When I get the last 2 revolver holsters in I will have Lobo Pancakes for all 5 of my carry revolvers. That should tell you something about what I think of his quality and pricing.
And unlike some makers, the holsters will show up in 4 to 5 weeks unless something serious happens. I have made I believe 3 previous orders and everyone was on time.

INFO:
The Model 1 Pancake has conventional belt slots. Easy to thread on and off the belt.

The Enhanced Pancake has belt tunnels. It is a more attractive looking holster, but more trouble to thread on and off the belt.

Both models work fine. I carry at 3 to 4 O'Clock for open carry, and 4 O'Clock concealed. For me they are very fast to access, and draw from. Easy to reholster in. They are secure enough for normal carry. They look great. Not to bulkey. They are my idea of "As Good as it Gets in a Carry Holster". I use all of mine in our Club Defensive Pistol Matches.
Shipping is included on orders over $60, if I am not mistaken.

They do have one problem. They are like potato chips, you can't own just one.

Rodek Leather Works, Inc. - Holsters
Current price is $32 and delivery is about 1 week. Ed uses really heavy leather. Note the evenness and tightness of the stitching. Hard to beat his holsters or any of his leatherwork. If you want something different that's not shown on his webpage then just ask him.
Here are a couple he's made for me. They've both been carried a lot. The Glock holster has been carried more on a day to day basis but the Model 63 holster has probably been used harder as I carry it exposed when hunting.

Saw the Lobo ad post by Ray today on this forum that is discounting certain items. Ordered the Model 1-D Pancake for a 3" J Frame (models 63&60 for me) this morning from it.
