More fine work from Lobo Gun Leather
I posted a picture in another thread that reminded me that I never had gotten around to showing off my last order from Lobo. Got these back in the fall, and so far they have been outstanding.
I asked Ray to line this one with smooth leather for the 25-2.
This one does double duty with the 686 & 696.

What is that holster called on the bottom that's the IWB? And is that the inner hammer shield that he calls it? I am needing one from Lobo for my 627 that is coming today...oh, and what was your approximate wait time?? thanks in advance. Great looking...both the holsters and guns!

Yep, that's his IWB model. Check out his website and you'll find it. I ordered this one out of horsehide for a little more $, but I believe the upgrade was worth it. And that is the inner hammer shield option.
I don't know what his wait time is right now, but Ray himself will get back to you and answer any questions you have. You can contact him on the website as well.

Cashdog.... The leather on the one for the mod. 25-2 looks like it's butter soft!
IMO Ray does some of the best (if not thee best) work around!
Absolutelty gorgeous!
Smart move, by the way, getting it lined. All my holsters are lined.

Lobo's work is an inspiration to all of us who merely tinker with leather.

I think Ray told me 4 - 5 weeks the end of December on my last order. I should be getting fairly close.
I have a couple Model 1 Pancakes with Detail Boning, and Inner hammer Shield.
When my last order arrives that will have me up to 6 Enhanced Pancakes, all with Inner Hammer Shields. This model comes detail bones standard.
My last order is for my 4" 617, 2-1/2" 66, and LCR 357 & 22.
I now have one for all my carry revolvers except my 4" 686. Since it is the wifes house gun, and she has a Kramer Lady's Holster for it. I may not get another holster for it.
My bottom feeder XDm could stand some leather. That would give me a chance to see how Ray does on semi auto holsters. I might go with an Avenger for it.
Ray has the bugs out of building revolver holsters.
Bob

Nothin' like a good chunk a'leather is it? When I opened the plastic bag my MR holster came in, it smelled like a saddle-shop. Love that smell.

It'll be worth the wait. Glad the thread helped you find what you were looking for.
And BobR1, be sure to show off your order when it arrives. I was thinking of ordering a pancake spec'ed out like the one you're gettin for your 66 for my 2.5" 19.

Received notification from Ray that my Tom Threepersons for a 5" 629 Classic; is in the mail! It's the first black holster I've owned/ordered since I've retired.
If Ray says it's in the mail-----then it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is holster # seven from Ray. Pictures shortly after arrival!

I just placed an order with Ray today, and he quoted a 5-week turaround. This will be my first Lobo leather (holster, belt, and mag pouch), and I'm anxious to get my hands on it! This is an IWB rig for a 1911. I'm thinking one of his Tom Threepersons holsters is next.

Enigma - you made a wise choice. Ray makes nice belts too. I wear mine daily. Be sure and show off your new leather when it arrives.

Thanks for sharing your satisfaction with Lobo Leather. I think you guys have helped me make up my mind for my first quality belt holster. But, before placing an order with Lobo I would like to query the group with a likely simple question. Is there a preferred style Lobo holster that would handle a choice of several different "K" frames with barrel lengths of 2, 3 & 4 inches? All input is appreciated.

Very nice guns and holsters. Just did my second order from Ray, a pancake for my 642 to match the one he made for my 60 3". Got a matching belt this time too.

The guns are gorgeous and something to be proud of! Rays work is something for him to proud of, as well. He's helped me a lot along the road of learning leather and nothing but a class act!

Try to find an IWB holster for a 2" K frame - left handed(!) from one of the Big Name Retailers. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!
Ray sez "Sho-'nuff!" Custom made dark brown horsehide with a hammer shield? No problemo, Four to five weeks delivery.
The check's in the mail and the wait begins...
