Default Hard hat finish or Robar for CCW

I have a new Seecamp 380 and I want to make the gun less shiny and more resistant to my sweat and the elements so I never have to rub of the red spots.

Im into Serverns custom Hard hat finish but Ive never heard of anyone personally doing it.

Robar is another option as well as the many companies offering a ion bond process (hard hat is a ion bond but with some secret mojo he wont release)

I would love some feedback and experiance's since this is a expensive and permanent option.

Thanks

Is your new Seecamp showing signs of corrosion? They were always in the past made of high grade stainless. Personally I would leave it as it came. I've owned and carried one for several years with no issues. How's that go, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I also like the look of a black little gun so being broke isn't the total equation. Also, during wet forming the sheath some of the plastic wrap was compromised leading to a red spot or two on the non polished portions of the slide, I haven't had that happen with any other sheaths or holsters ive made and ive made dozens. It could have been a section of slide missed by the pre plastic wrap oil application but its still slightly offsetting that a pocket carry piece develops flecks with a 2 day wet mold.
