Today, I asked a county sheriff approximately how many new CC apps they took in the last 30 days? The answer was around 500. I asked how many were typical prior to this last blow up about gun control and I think he said 40 or 50. Like I said, the numbers are approximate. That's a lot of applications for my little county here in Oregon.
Wait time to submit docs and get finger printed is 2 to 4 hours. Almost non stop

Yep! They had a story on the local news that the Sheriff's office in a nearby county will be staying open later two nights a week to handle the increase in applicants.

It was full and there are waiting lists to get into future classes.
This whole "situation" has two sides.
Bad Side:
People whose only response to the crime in this country are calling for gun bans and their comrades run to their defense, ignorant of the facts and hypocritical of crime waves in gang infested cities across the Nation.
Good Side:
Awareness is up.
A sleeping giant has awakened and Americans are "getting it".
Millions see the Constitutional threat and are rallying together in solidarity.
The incredible sales totals of firearms and ammo, CCW licenses, gun safes, holsters, etc shows me that there are more Pro-Gun than Anti-Gun.
What we need is better reps in the Govt.
Please remember all of the gun-banning rhetoric when you vote.
