Default Iwb for a small waist. Heating?

Anyone try heating their kydex on a hybrid holster to get it to "fit" better? I have a pretty small waist and little to no bottom so my holster doesnt wrap around quite right.

Have your worn it around for awhile? Mine took awhile to form to my body. (cross breed super tuck for me)

Asking the people who made it a safe way to form it might be a good try also.

I've been wearing it for a couple months around the house and all the time since I got my license last month. The leather is broken in pretty good but the sides of the kydex attach could be "shaped" a little better I guess

I would think a hair dryer would be sufficient if you went slow and were careful. Google and see if someone else has had good results (or terrible ones)

And have you asked who made your holster yet? They may have a way that works already.

I make these holsters and I've had some luck shaping the sides without losing the gun shape. Remember as you warm the Kydex it will return to its original shape (a flat sheet).

Lay a hot pad from your kitchen over the part you don't want to change the shape of. Or even a wet cloth. Use a heat gun to warm the part you do want to bend. I would use a powerful heat gun as you don't want the heat creeping on you while you wait forever to warm a small area.

I lay the leather and Kydex over my leg and bend it as I warm it.

Good luck!
