Shoulder holster for 500 mag
Hi everyone just curious if any 500 mag owners on here carry their guns in shoulder holsters I have the 8 3/8 inch model and want to get a shoulder holster to carry it for hunting. the ones I have found online have been leather and rather pricey I'm looking for just a plain Nylon one If possible. I only carry my guns in shoulder holsters because of a pinched nerve and carrying on the waistband is not an option .I'm guessing caring a gun this big would probably require a shoulder holster as carrying one this Large on the waist would be a problem.

A bearer would be appropriate. A big one.

I would look for a Galco Guide style holster. I have a 629 no dash with the 8 3/8 barrel. This style fits me better and it makes the gun easy to draw.
What are you using the gun/holster for? My brother-in-law and I are heading to Texas with the hopes bagging a hog. The 629 is insurance.
Good Luck

I've got a sour dough pancake so the simply rugged chesty puller would be an option for hunting. Not so much for concealment though.

Thanks for the replies and the links fellas .I'll be carrying the 500 for more of a defense gun then hunting gun I am hunting hogs as well .I use a 357 mag for hogs but recently there has been several black bear attacks here in Central Florida So the 500 is a just in case gun.

You may want to check out a Nelson... They have both pouch type and break-open styles for 500's in leather.
A. E. Nelson Leather Co.
I have one for my 500 6.5 and it works well for me as a "no-frills" hunting holster...
