Default New to S&W- Good buy?

Hi, I am a former law enforment officer that is new to this forum and frankly new to Smith and Wesson. (Outside of my old 60s model 36 J frame anyway

I recently purchased a new Bodyguard .380 for $360 from a local gun store here in Southern Ohio. Hopefully this is a pretty solid price as I couldn't find one elsewhere this reasonable.

Other than registering it for warranty purposes, is there any other advice you could give me being new to S&W? My past has revolved around Glock and Sig.

Thanks in advance!!!

Welcome to the board! I am mostly interested in earlier revolvers, but from what I have seen around the price you paid seems okay. My advice would be to shoot it for a couple of hundred rounds before you decide to keep it. If you do, and it fits your needs, I'd buy up at least 3 more magazines. Good Luck! Drew

Welcome to the forum. That's a good price. I am very happy with my BG380 I've had over a year now with many hundreds of rounds through it (maybe over 1,000 but I don't count them). There's a very good collection of issues about this gun on another thread, good reading for any BG380 owner:
Bodyguard 380...Love it or List it?

Welcome from Louisville. Stick around, this is a great forum with some knowledgeable and slightly crazy people.

Price is ok. About on par with what I've seen.
