Default Concealed carry and "no gun" signs

Here in Illinois we FINALLY have lawful concealed carry. Thousands of us have submitted our applications, but I doubt that any or many of us will have our actual license prior to about April. But since the new law is in effect now, I have been trying to notice businesses that have posted "no gun" signs, and have yet to see any in this state.

I wonder how many national chains, retail, restaurant, big box, gasoline, etc. have a "no guns" policy for customers that I should expect to see posted in the near future at their sites here in Illinois. I would really like to know even before the signs go up so that I can make sure I visit and express my intention to no longer give such places my business.

What for? It's unlikely you'll be talking to anyone with authority to change the policy, and at least equally unlikely that the people who do have it will care what you have to say if the employee passes it along.

If I see such a sign I don't do business there. I see no point in expressing my displeasure to some poor guy who's just trying to make a living and not rile his employers.

This has been dealt with at great length on another thread here recently.

In KS most signs hold no value. As of 7/1/2013 a new sign was introduced saying the establishment has taken a exemption to the new law that states if you cannot guaranty that ALL people are disarmed with either metal detectors or armed security to protect everyone then carrying is still allowed.

If you go in an make an issue of it then you can be sure they will remember you later on the off chance you stop by to make an emergency purchase. You will then have tipped them off. Better to keep your mouth shut, keep your weapon concealed well, and not worry about it. There are other threads on this issue. Find them and read them. This isn't the only forum where such is discussed either.

Give them time they will be posting those signs up everywhere.

Here in Louisiana it is state law that we must abide by the posted signs. So this is just the "lefts" way of getting what they want inside their businesses.

No harm done, because those are the businesses that dont get near as many customers as they did before the signs were posted.
