K-FRAME SNUB HOLSTERS and CARRY: PHOTOS PLEASE
I live in Texas, where "summer carry" is most of the year. For me, that means a lightweight J-frame in a Mika pocket holster in the front pocket of my shorts (or jeans).
But I have this great old Model 19-2 snub nose I bought from a detective in California. Back then I bought it just because I liked it, but I never carried it because there was no legal carry in that state. But now that I'm in the land of the free, I've been thinking that since it already has a good deal of muzzle wear and life stories in its finish, that I might as well try carrying it.
The times I've carried a larger-than-J-frame gun, it's been a Glock 19 in a Crossbreed SuperTuck. I find this pretty easy to conceal. But I've never really carried a larger revolver with its extra width.
Would really love to see your snub-nose 66s and 19s with the leather you use to conceal them, especially if you carry in areas where you really need to conceal vs. merely cover. Photos of you wearing the rig would be even better.
A few pics of the gun, to get the ball rolling...

I don't have any pics for a k-frame since all my rigs oare for other other guns, but loads of guys on this board carry their k-frames in one Ray's holsters...do a search of "Lobo" and you'll see lots of pics.

My 19-3
In a Lobo horsehide IWB
Not very good pictures of the gun and holster on me but hopefully it gets the point across.

Lobo Enhanced Pancake
Not a great picture but I wear it under a Hawaiian shirt here in the summer time.

Very nice leather. I might need to go IWB for concealability with the way I dress, but that is nice.
As far as I can tell, the "enhanced" pancake merely has the belt loops under the holster. Is it less concealable?

No the holster is no more concealable because the belt loops are just covered up.

Just so you know if you plan on going with an IWB (like I did) you should also plan on getting pants and a belt that are 2" larger than normal. The belt I am wearing in the above picture is one made by Crossbreed intended for concealed carry.

Oh, for sure. I carry a Glock 19 in a Crossbreed Supertuck with a horsehide belt by the beltman, so I already have IWB pants. I just like revolvers more, but crossbreed doesn't do a k-frame model.
I have a galco pancake holster for a j frame that I can conceal easily, just never been sure what to choose to make a k-frame disappear. A lot of the k pancakes appear to ride too low below belt line for me (like the fancy leather one above).

I carry a model 10 snub in a Sideguard "slide" owb. It's very comfortable, and pulls in snugly to my side. Erik does good work. No picture yet.

I talked to one of their reps a while back to try and get them to make a k frame model. He informed that there simply wasn't the market for a k frame holster, at least not enough of one to make it worth their while. Oh well... In a way I am glad Crossbreed doesn't make a k frame holster because that made me find Lobo Leather. A word of caution, Lobo leather is addictive.

This is a 19-4 (with metaloy finish) in a Lobo Gun Leather holster. He is a member here on the S&W Forum, and makes a great holster for a reasonable price with good turn around time.

Add me to the Lobo camp. In addition to owning two of his holsters, I recently asked Ray about a holster for my Colt Mustang. He didn't have a pattern but put my request up on the holster-makers web site he belongs to. He just sent me an email with an update. Now THAT'S service!
May I present Luscious - My 2" Model 64 in Lobo IWB Horsehide. A left handed custom made holster delivered in 5 weeks at the same cost as the one-size-fits-all DeSantis that can't be found in a left handed model?
Yeah, I'm in...

Another LOBO customer here. The one pictured on top is a 3 inch Model 65 K-Frame in a Lobo pancake that I really like. The bottom one is a J-Frame in another Lobo holster.

I had this one made by Tom Dyer at Saguaro Gunleather. He retired and closed his shop...made custom horse tack and holsters.
I carry either a 2.5" 19 or 66 in this...

Beautiful revolver, nice holster, yeah. But what tickles me is the sap. I haven't had one of those in my hands since the mid-70s. Your patrol sergeant would have such a hissy-fit if you had that with you today.

Lefty ... Tell us you've reconsidered and haven't rode off into the sunset as yet. My 60-7 lives in a BCO outside-the-belt rig and refuses to take up residence anywhere else.
I have to photograph my Lobo horsehide K-frame holster. I believe it was one of Ray's prototypes.

Pancakes.
The Roy Baker has the least excess leather below the belt line , and the angle and height particularly suit me. But alas just from age , they are no longer primary use.. My usual right hand is DeSantis, and a no name "used box" for left hand.
El Paso #77 is very close in the positioning , but is stiffer.
And yes , I can carry a pair of 2in K's with an untucked shirt as easily as one.

Theis does make hybrids for revolvers, and just received horsehide one for a Taurus 445. Well made, and breaking it in right now. Not for pretty finishes, and may need to specify if you want your holster with cant for revolver.
