For those of you who carry the M&P Shield 9mm Inside the Waist Band, what brand and model of holster do you use?

Also, at what position do you carry?

Thanks.

I have a Shield, tried a hybrid holster and hated it. I tried several more IWB holsters but finally found one that is perfect. It's the IWB kydex holster made by Ted_Cori on EBay. The fit and finish is excellent, adjustable retention and he will build one to your specs.

I carry at the 3:30-4:00 position.

Milt Sparks VMII at 3-o'clock. Not cheap and not mass-produced but one of (if not) the best out there. Pay once, cry once.

I have a DeSantis Intruder hybrid IWB holster that does an excellent job. Fits the gun very well, doesn't shift around, and has clips that lock onto the bottom of the belt, so you can't pull the holster off the belt by mistake. The price is around $68.00.

I just use the regular old Bianchi 100. Small of the back. Been carrying that way for 32 years.

Blade-Tech Nano at 3:00. The friction retention is lighter than I prefer, but is otherwise just fine.

I carry a Zero9 Minimalist between 3 and 5 o clock
and the matching magazine pouch on my left side between 7 & 9.

Very inexpensive, short turn around when ordering. USA made/

I have been using one by firearmholster.com Comfortable, well made, and inexpensive at around $49 delivered.

I use the N82 Tactical, Pro model.

I have not been a big fan of IWB because of suffering from a mild case of the Dunlap Disease. (my belly dunlapped over my belt) But I have found that this is a very comfortable set up for me. Carried it all summer and now into winter and really like it.

It does have a retention device that you have to get used to but after a month or so it became second nature for me.

Quick edit: forgot to say that I wear it around the 3:30 to 4:00 range.

When I carry my Shield 9 IWB it is in a Remora. I haven't had a problem with it yet. Usually carry it at around 3:30.

I have an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2, an N82, and a Galco Tuck-N-Go. However, I've never managed to figure out how to tuck a shirt over an IWB without leaving either a big "lump" or having the shirt so loosely tucked that it looks sloppier than leaving it un-tucked. And if I wear my shirt un-tucked I can conceal my Lobo Gun Leather enhanced pancake OWB just fine and it is WAY more comfortable.

I love my Foxx. I got the original style, full size. There is not excessive Kydex forming, that I think just wears on your slides finish. Ordered right off their web site, 40 bucks shipped. I wear my gun just about 4 o'clock position. I can wear it tucked when needed.
Good luck,
David.

I use a Alien Gear Tuck 3, and after having it about 2 months and using it quite a bit, I still find it awkward. I use it in the 4-5 position and it is difficult locate in a comfortable position. It also collapses when the pistol is removed. I am trying to stay with it and not have a drawer full of unused holsters.

No one has yet mentioned carrying the 9 Shield with a CTC Green Laserguard. Desantis does not yet make a holster for this. Remora may have one. I just ordered a Blade Tech IWB and see how that one works. So far I'm using an old Assault Systems IWB nylon I bought for my Smith 5946 ages ago. I also use a J-Frame Remora and the shield mostly fits into that one but I don't like the clip-less mode for it.

I have and use the leather back Alien Gear holster, and just love it. Have been carrying my Shield .40 daily in it for over a year, hardly know it there. You can try one for thirty days, don't like it send it back for a refund. You really can't go wrong, and they have great customer service. I carry in the 9 o'clock position (south paw).

Tacti-Pac at 12:00 or N82 @ 4:00.
Shield a little too large for my pocket carry which is a KahrCM9.

I like the DeSantas Cozy Partner #28. In addition to the Shield, the molding and adjustable tension also allows it to work well with a Ruger LC9s and a Sig P938.
