Default Moon clip holder for CCW

Looking for recommendations for a moon clip holder for CCW; specifically, to accommodate an 8-shot, .357 moon clip or clips. Thank you in advance; looking forward to your feedback.

I use mace cases. On some of them, I add another snap to change the height of the flap. The shortest mace cases will hold two moon clips stacked. Longer cases might hold more but the bottom clip would be hard to access.

I also like the California Competion clip holder, especially for off duty or plain clothes where I only carry a couple of spare clips.http://smith-wessonforum.com/attachm...2&d=1430679523

I have a couple California Competition holders, which seem about as good as any. I'm not convinced moon clips are the best approach for CCW and speed loading, without some accommodations.

Commercial SD ammunition has a swaged rather than rolled crimp, which leaves sharp edges to catch on the cylinder. Hand loaded cartridges load easily, without fiddling. However hand loaded cartridges may not be the best choice for self defense.

A reasonable alternative is a loading strip, which are available for 8 rounds of .38/.357. It's not quite as fast as a speed loader, but generally faster than a moon clip, and a lot easier to carry concealed. I haven't seen an 8 round speed loader for the N-frame Smith.

Can't imagine a speed strip being faster than a moon clip, which is indeed faster than a speed loader. The speed strip is easy to carry, but a couple of half-moon clips are just as easy.

Added: I'm unfamiliar with a "swaged" crimp.
