ERGO GRIP.

Let me tell you, it WORKS!

Shot 100 rounds last weekend. Different but comfortable. Fills the hand well and points more naturally. Tames recoil better and my middle knuckle doesn't slap the bottom of the trigger guard.

Also when I pocket carry it's easier to get my hand completely on the grip.

May not be for everyone but I like it.

The Ergo "Delta" grips. Unconventional, yes. Ugly, beauty is as beauty does. Do they work, absolutely!

When these were first introduced about 1 1/2 years ago most posters severely flamed them with ever even seeing them in person, let alone handled or shot a gun with them installed! The first response (post 2) above is typical of what was seen previously.

I put a set on my 640-1 as soon as I could get a set. They are comfortable, they work, and best of all keep your middle finger knuckle from being battered by the trigger guard, definitely a positive. I just wish they would make a variation that extends all the way up the frame knuckle of the 640 style frame! Other colors maybe too.

I recommend to anyone who is tempted to be negative about these to buy a set and try them! They are only $20, bet you have spent more for other accessories that are rarely if ever used anymore!

I had one. Everything the OP says is true. I had a hard time drawing it from pocket carry, but could have managed it with practice. What I couldn't shake was the perception that it did not lend itself to weapon retention. While that may not be as much of a consideration as it once was, old habits die hard.

J-frame owners are blessed with an abundance of grip and holster options. Anyone who says they can't find some combination that works isn't trying.

I picked them up on ebay a couple of weeks ago. I've shot about 50 rounds with them. They really do fill up your hand. My buddy who has short fingers didn't care for them. I'm undecided, but there certainly is more to hang on to.

Here's a photo of my Model 49 with the top grip panel removed.

I have never really enjoyed shooting my 3 inch model 60 .357. Maybe a set of these would make the experience more pleasureable. Too bad the grips are not offered for k/l or N frames.

For those who are piling on with snarky comments you're showing your ignorance. Unless you've tried them (I haven't, yet) you're failing to realize the purpose of a J frame. It's a tool to save your life.

Put another 50 rounds through yesterday. I noticed that the trigger is easy to pull. Not that is was that bad before, just seems easier now. Must be the angle or the fact that the grip fills my hand completely.

I've seen them advertised in various magazines. I wondered how they worked. Glad to hear they work well. I never know when I might go back to carrying a J-frame routinely again.

Your experiences pretty much mirror mine, and they're surprisingly concealable to boot! They also don't snag on clothing, as is typical for rubber stocks.

Pity they only come in RB format, although I feel it'd be a sin to retire the Herretts on my M36.
